Dunkin III Update

Doing some writing on Dunkin the Vampire Slayer III, It Ain’t Over Til The Fat Man Stings. So I started wondering if you Dunkin fans like the sneak listens? I may record the first four chapters and release them with the lugwrench if that’s how the votes go. I added a poll. Should be over on the right side. Vote if you want the first few chapters available. I’ll probably be halfway finished with the book next week. I can probably finish by the end of March. But that ain’t the hard part. I can knock a book out fast, editing is a pain in the ass.

Now, on to Devlin II, Cleft Behind. You probably figured out, it’s a two-parter. Heh! Devlin and the Devil are not finished with each other yet. Part two Cleft behind II: The Wages of Rum is outlined. You remember how Cleft Behind ended, and here’s a hint of where the second book picks up. Think time travel both back and forwards as practiced by someone of Devlin’s... errr, particular skills. Think massive multi-God conspiracies. Think planetcide.

I want you...
to finish Dunkin III that is--yeah that's what I meant. Drunken, gravel-ly voiced men have always been my soft spot.

You obviously know the key to coaxing a slight amount of productivity from your average indolent hack. You attract more bees when you plant flowers, or something about honey... I can't remember. HAR! Thanks, J

I'm not sure I can top Jenny's comment, being a dude an' all. But I'll say this. Keep up the good work. I'm enjoying the heck out of the podcast and looking very much forward to Dunkin III and the next Devlin.

Can't wait for Dunkin III, are there going to be more Devlin's and have you thought of a series for Ash? I haven't found any books nearly as exciting and as much fun to listen to in a long time, I have them on at work constantly.

You rock GCC

Dang! My own system ate my comment. Har! Hello, Merlineous! Appreciate the message, sir! Man, as far as what I write. I have no clue. I stay drunk. Whatever is there the next day is what I end up with. I'd like to say I have a plan, but, uh... I don't. If I get far along in a book, I finish it because I hate to waste all those words. Sort of like drinking two/thirds a bottle of rum. might as well finish it. Heh! Great to hear we shared a laugh. I always fraggin' appreciate that.

Dude you are a fantastic storyteller, top rank. When I listen to you it's like being back with an old friend of mine who has since departed the world, he would have loved your stories. He was a big burly bear of a man who was just like Devlin. Keep the stories crankin!

Sounds like your friend and I would have gotten along just fine. Glad we share a laugh or three... and thanks for letting me know! Greg

My skills in the art department involve crayons, dry pasta and lots of glitter! If I can figure out how to convert that to some sort of computer file I might stand a chance! I would even try if the prize was the message on my voice mail....Hey that's an idea. Har!

Keep up the work, let us know if you need anything like a cool mushroom cloud hat or more rum!

Devlin Rocks!

Hey, Newpoint! Appreciate the shout out. I'm partial to pasta and glitter and glue and crayons. I'm going to build one of those hats someday. I'll do anything to avoid writing more nonsense. Heh! Thanks!

Hey Greg,
Don't know what you did but the sound quality of Dunkin 3 (sneak peek) was noticeably superior to the usual. I ain't one of these audio-friggin-philes that has a conniption everytime there is a fart captured on air, but the sneak peek sounded like it was done by a professional. So, who did you kidnap?

Har! Larry! I was drinking, so if it does sound different, I'll never remember why. Same mic, cheap foaM filter and mac. I promise the next ones will be my usual sub-=standard collection of hiccups, expulsions, and grumbles. Heh! It was an accident, I assure you. Thanks, buddy!

Trucker Larry is right, Dunkin III sneak peak did sound unusually professional! I remember noticing, briefly, before the story got going and I was distracted.
Heh. Maybe we'll be lucky, and all the equipment will be in the same place when gcc goes back to record episode 2.
Or maybe we're ALL wrong and Greg has learned something useful about recording.
