Yeah, I'll get to book pimpage in a moment. First, I have to announce that FOOL by Christopher Moore has taken first place as the funniest damn book I have ever read. A position formerly held by Confederacy of Dunces. If you have a dim recollection of Shakespeare's King Lear, fogged by keg parties, skirt prowls, and torpid bouts of lit-class attendance, guess what—IT DON'T MATTER! Fraggin' FOOL will make you laugh.—if yer like me. I hurt myself laughing. That said, there is some unmistakeable pissedoffery from fellow writers when I do not blindly, pimp their book. Look, I have a hard-and-fast rule: If I didn't read it, I ain't pimping it. And no, I DON'T give a shit how everyone else does it. If you want book-pimpage, send me a damn e-mail with the book as a .txt file or epub. No links to audiobooks cuz I have satellite and that equals—NO BANDWIDTH. Plus, I read fast, I write four-to-six books a year, and I drink heavily. Send the damn text file! If I enjoy myself, I'll bleat about it. If not, I'll remain silent. I read three books a week. I write 2000 words a day. (My self-imposed goal for a reward of heavy drinking.) I may not get to it quick, but I will.
